Well... It wasn't the election result we wanted nationally. It is always a sad sight to see talented MP's and staffers lose their jobs. However, we must look forward and bounce back from this sore result.

In Northern Ireland, we can certainly be proud of the election we ran. We had highly capable candidates who managed to gather volunteers for canvassing, attract media attention and sway undecided voters. Further, we can be proud of the fact we were the only party to run candidates in all four nations of the United Kingdom. The Northern Ireland Conservatives Party Chairman, Paul Leeman and staff in Northern Ireland worked extremely hard, which including frequent late nights to assist candidates.

We want to thank everyone who took part in this election in Northern Ireland. That includes the volunteers who gave up evenings and weekends to assist in canvassing, the candidates who put their names forward, the Management Team who have spent the past year preparing for this eventuality and all the voters who put their trust in our vision for Northern Ireland.

We will come back again, but this time we will come back stronger!
